Holiday Recipes: Charred Brussels Sprouts

It's no secret that some of our staff's favorite dishes come from the queen herself, Monica Wise, and we're lucky enough that she is sharing one of her secret recipes with us. Her mouthwatering roasted brussel sprouts. Any time we are blessed with having this treat in the office everyone is trying to get a taste.
This recipe is a simple side dish that will be gone as soon as they hit the table! It’s a perfect recipe for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, or anytime you like.

What you’ll need to make the perfect Brussel sprouts:
1 pound of brussels sprouts
4 garlic cloves (chopped)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Dash of Kosher salt
2 Pinches of red pepper flakes

Glaze:
1 tablespoon Honey
1/2 Cup White Balsamic vinegar
 1/2 Cup Fresh shaved Parmesan
Preheat oven to 400°
Cut off bottom stems of brussels sprouts, remove loose outer leaves.  Slice them in half ( the long way)
Mix olive oil , salt, pepper flakes  & chopped garlic into a bowl. Add in brussels sprouts, and “lightly” coat them. Make sure not to drench them,  nothing worse than soggy brussels sprouts.
Spread evenly over cookie sheet pan and roast for 30 minutes... I love using parchment paper which creates a crispier result.
While they are roasting it’s a perfect time to prepare the honey basaltic glaze in a sauce pan. Bring the mixture to a low simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove the brussel sprouts and immediately drizzle honey basaltic glaze on top, toss and serve shaved Parmesan on top!
🤤🤤🤤
