Fall is finally here, so you know what that means! We're running to Trader Joe's to get our hands on our favorite seasonal (and not-seasonal) items! We asked our girl Tricia (she's our go-to for all things Traders!) for the must-haves items from Trader Joe's this Fall. Keep reading to see what we picked up and let us know if we missed any of your faves!
1. Autumnal Harvest Pasta Sauce
This is a go-to every year for me! It has a creamy tomato flavor that’s not too rich and has the perfect amount of additional pumpkin and butternut squash flavor. They recommend it with their red lentil sedanini, but it's just as yummy with regular spaghetti noodles. (Banza noodles are my fave GF option!)
2. Vanilla Almond Spiced Chai Protein Smoothie
Ok, I admit this is available year-round and isn’t a true seasonal TJ item, but it’s my absolute favorite and I can’t live without it! Not only does it have delicious chai flavor that gives fall vibes, it’s also an amazing source of protein plus it's vegan!
3. Maple Almonds
If I’m being completely honestly, almonds and cashews are what I force myself to have when I get that early afternoon snack craving. Why not make it more delicious with the maple flavoring? These are also a great addition to a Friday night charcuterie board girl dinner. (Don’t forget the pumpkin cranberry crisps here!)
4. Spiced Cider
4. Spiced Cider
This cider is delicious hot or cold! To have it hot I recommend the traditional method of warmed in a crock pot with spices, then serve with whiskey. My favorite cider cocktail is what I call a Fall-ified Moscow Mule - basically cider, vodka, ginger beer, dash of lime juice and apples and cinnamon sticks to garnish and add flavor. (You can always swap out vodka here for Fireball whiskey!) If TJ’s brings their cranberry ginger beer back for Thanksgiving, this is also amazing in lieu of classic ginger beer.
5. Organic Sriracha & Roasted Garlic BBQ Sauce
5. Organic Sriracha & Roasted Garlic BBQ Sauce
Ok last year-round product I promise! I associate it with fall though becuase I only have when it’s cold out, specifically for my favorite chili recipe. Like regular chili, brown ground beef in a pan, then add diced tomatoes, kidney beans and the entire bottle of this sauce. Simmer for as long as desired and add cheese on top if your body allows it (some of us have to pick and choose my battles with dairy, and this chili recipe tastes just as flavorful without cheese!) Another Great crock pot idea too for lazy NFL Sundays at home.
6. Pumpkin Chocolate Chunk Oatmeal Cookie Mix
One of my favorite things about these cookies is it’s impossible to mess up making these. They’re also the perfect amount of chocolate and pumpkin flavor mixed together without being too rich. Gluten free sweet tooth alternative: GF Pumpkin Streusel Muffins
7. Vanilla Pumpkin Candle
7. Vanilla Pumpkin Candle
If you’re in SoCal, then you know it’s still wayyyy to hot to burn a large Bath and Body Works 3-wick candle. An easy and convenient alternative is TJ’s vanilla pumpkin candle! It’s the perfect size with right amount of scent strength. TJ candles like these also make great gifts with the holidays around the corner for any out-of-state friends and family who don’t have a TJs by them!
Thanks Tricia for not gatekeeping any fall items from us! We're already running back to Trader Joe's for another Vanilla Pumpkin candle so we can have all the cozy vibes this fall!
+ Stay tuned for our jacket collection!
