5 steps to bring balance into your 2022

Ahh the start of the new year…  new goals, bigger dreams and staying on track… well kind of.  If you’re feeling burnt out or feel like you don’t have any structure lately, trust us when we say, you’re not alone. Given the past two (totally normal) years, how could you not feel this way?! I would like to go back to the precedented times thank yew! In an effort to get back to our pre-pandemic zen, join us in practicing living a more balanced life.

Here is how we calm the chaos with these 5 practice steps:

 1 – Journal

You’ve probably seen this all over Instagram this year but trust us, it helps. Set aside time whether it’s waking up 5 minutes earlier, make the time for yourself. Do a mental check in, how are you feeling today? What do you want to get done today? Even simply putting a 🙂 or  🙁 to gauge where you’re at (stickers here we come!). It’s the little things that make a difference.

 2 – Exercise

Endorphins are EVERYTHING. Whether its 5 minutes or 60 getting your body moving will make you feel better! Try out that new studio down the block, go on a walk around your neighborhood or even just a few morning stretches. Prioritize yourself - you never regret a workout.

3 – Meditation

Time to put the phone down and focus on your mind + body connection. Find stillness in your breath and start to feel the stress fade away.  Don’t know where to start? Here are a few guided meditations accounts we love: @la_tiamariana@rochelle_fox@sharonsalzberg

4 – Turn down the pressure

A lot of the time, we add more pressure to ourselves than what is needed. whether it's putting intense pressure on your workout goals or stressing about something small that inconvenienced you today. Be present and give yourself a break. The old saying goes: if it's not going to matter 5 years from now then don't spend more than 5 minutes on it. We apply this to everything from taking a rest day after a few intense workout days to getting irritated that you only have half the time to workout because you hit traffic. Take a deep breathe and give yourself a break - we're focusing on the long game here!

5 – Manifest

We’re big on the if you dream it, it can happen lifestyle. Make that vision board! Really think of where you would like to be in 3 months, 1 year or 5 years and start working towards the overall goal. Put it out in the universe and watch as your dreams come true (sappy but true 😉)

Balance is not a final goal but an ongoing process – more of a feeling. We hope these 5 steps will help bring a little more balance to your everyday. Here’s to trying!
